1. Who we are

LearnGuage is a language-learning mobile application. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can control it. Contact: learngua@learnguage.app

2. Data we collect

Account data

• Email address and password (password is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider)
• Display name and chosen avatar

Learning data

• Selected native and target languages, self-assessed proficiency level
• Saved words and sentences you add while studying, including optional images attached to words
• Study statistics (streaks, correct-answer counts, memorized word counts)
• Reading and listening progress (which book/video you are on and how far you got)
• Reading preferences (font size, theme)

What we do NOT collect

• No microphone/audio recordings
• No location data
• No contacts, photos, or files beyond images you explicitly attach to saved words
• No advertising identifiers; the app contains no third-party advertising
• No payment card details — subscription payments are processed entirely by Google Play; we never see or store card information

3. How we use data

Data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: signing you in, syncing your learning progress across sessions and devices, and showing your own statistics back to you. We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except the service providers below.

4. Where data is stored (processors)

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for the data listed above.
• Google Play — app distribution and subscription billing.
• RevenueCat — subscription status management on top of Google Play billing.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion takes effect immediately. If you can no longer access the app, email learngua@learnguage.app from the address registered to your account; deletion is then completed within 30 days. 6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Server-side access is restricted with row-level security so that each user can only access their own data.

7. Children

LearnGuage is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. This website

This website is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and material changes will be communicated in the app.
